Almost finished with my built in smoker. Fire box is located behind it which is also a usable fire pit/grill

I actually like that design...I have been toying with that type of layout for awhile Looks great and Thanks for sharing that...The Stone would be a nice touch on the rear end..maybe a Sandstone

Get some Spray oil (PAM, CANOLA, Etc.)and when you use the smoker and are done, spray it as it cools down and the oil will get into the metal like a Cast Iron skillet gets seasoned. I do mine that way and have ZERO rust issues.
