I have a Digisight N750 on one of my 6.8spc's for night hunting. I picked up an Angel Eye DVR for recording from it and it works fine but does not record sound when recording from the scope. The button camera that came with it has a microphone so I know it records sound. Does anyone know how to add an external microphone using the input wires? I guess I don't really NEED sound but who doesn't like to hear the bang? Sorry if this has been covered before but couldn't really find anything about it in the search.

Yes Kyle, that sounds about right. The model I got is the KS-650M. It does not have the built in mic. It has an external mic on the buttonhole camera. I trying to figure out if there is a way to plug in an external mic or install an internal.

The angel eyes will bring in sound through the factory provided cable, you buy an external powered microphone and splice it in to the audio line .

Initially I used a mic that speakers wear in their lapels, powered by a couple of small button batteries.

Sound quality and function left alot to be desired, ended up just buying a unit that has a built in mic.

My early video were silent shows with a sound effect added at the time of the shot but ultimately nothing beats the real sound.

Can you let us know what unit you have that has the built in mic?

I checked out the UNV mdvr and ordered it. I have one of the cheaper ones and really wanted the audio. Base on the UNV website this has a built in Mic and the example videos look and sound great. Can't wait to get it and go out an a hunt...

Thanks

Yeah, didn't know that when I bought this one. Not a big deal, still haven't had a chance to take the rig out hunting anyway. Thanks for the input fellas.
