Bought a new rhino is 2013 and finally got 20 hours on it and need its first oil change.. Does the dealership do anything extraditing a it's first oil change ? They want 240.00 for it. I know the oil change kit is 35.00 with the filter

Thanks for any help

I do my own. Nothing to it on my Gator.

I did the first at the dealer then learned how to work on my Sportsman. I didn't feel like shelling out $100 every 25-30 hours. I started running Amsoil in mine and change about every 60-75 hours and it costs me about $30.

There is probably more to the first service other than oil and filter.. we will change all filters and the engine oil. Then grease everything, clean, run check for potential issues we can get taken care of under warranty while its here.

For $240 I would hope they would at least kiss you when they get through.

Ask them to give you a break down of what will be done. Labor can eat up a bill quite quick.

They are pretty strait forward though as far as changing the oil. Your manual should have a list of timely things to check. id use all Yamaha oil and filters to avoid any future warranty problems.

similar $ on my ranger crew, but they took out all break in oils f/r diff as well as enginge which were explained to me should be removed as they break down quickly in comparison to the normal. didn't want to mess with it nor ignor a huge investment. I will do the normal changes henceforth
