Just curious whose going to jump on the band wagon. Single stack 9mm 6+1 at $580 seems a little much to me

That does seem high. Couple on the market already around the $400 price point.

Not proud of it, but I'll add one to the herd ASAP. Glock and Sig both have my attention.

Was bummed when the 42 came out in 380, but that didn't stop me from buying one.

Why???? Glock is obviously behind on the S Curve of innovation, I would continue to expect for them to be the low cost/volume provider without taking any big leaps of innovation. Eventually, that will not serve them well.

I just got a brand new Shield 9mm single stack for 335 out the door at the base PX. Tax free and 35 dollars off.

I'll be interested to see if they actually do it this time. If they do it and come up with a better price, I'm in to try it. It may replace my Shield.

I don't understand that statement. The Glock itself is probably the biggest innovation in pistol design since 1911.

And they haven't "innovated" out of the 1911 in 104 years. When you get it right you keep it that way.

Ill be buying one. Sold my G26 before SHOT in anticipation of the G43. Figured used gun market would suck for G26s once single stack was released. Was very dissappinted with SHOT amd have been handled every single stack 9 on the market and just cant bite. Really close to an XDS but glad I held out. I'll carry my S&W snubbie a little longer for the G43 to start shipping.

That is LEO price I'm sure, but I also don't see the actual street price being $580 either.

I think the price should be $449, starting

Interesting to see that is weighs more than a sig 938. Kinda disappointing to me

Think I'll just stick with my Lc9s , holds a extra round in a smaller frame. Xds holds more and will most likely be smaller also.

$580 is a little steep but if it runs like a glock...i.e. flawless out of the box with any ammo you can find, highly corrosion resistant, consitent trigger, easy to take down and cleans up in 10 minutes, and no odd quirks like alot of the smaller guns have...maybe. I'm guessing they will be hard to find for a year or so.

My shield does all of those things, and you can find them for as low as $325 now. And it's a 40 with the same ma capacity as the glock 9mm. I get 7+1 with the extended mag. And it fits my hand perfectly. Not begrudging the glock. They make great guns, but i don't see the value at that price.

Yep. Not seeing the hype and rush to buy the mini glock 9 when there is the S&W shield which has impressed me more than any other CCW I have owned and tested. In fact the Shield I carry is consistently more accurate than the Glock 19 I ownED. Not saying the glock isn't going to be another good option, just not seeing how it is superior to the high performance and lower price I have got out of three different Shields.

FOR SURE I will buy one, and can't wait. Just watched the live Glock Webcast on it, it's a bad little pistol!
