This young female stepped out right after dark. She didn't seem as wary as she should be. It cost her. I think she was drawn in by the hog gut pile, but the little critter got her attention also. I was setting very low to the ground. There was quite a bit of tall grass and sporadic 1/2 inch stems, growth. I don't know if I got some deflection off of something or just didn't hit right for whatever reason, but the first round didn't get her down. Regardless, the job got done. This was a humid night with lots of moisture in the air from recent rains. It affected the quality of the thermal image a bit, but it was very effective just the same. Anyway, yote hunting is a blast. Hope y'all enjoy!
