Just picked up a black super black eagle 2. I am wondering what the best matching sling would be.

Ditto on the claw. I went to BPS looking for a sling, never heard of the claw. The selection was...lets say piss poor at the time but they had 2 claws hanging on the rack. I picked the one that matched the camo best on my sbe 2

Thanks for the info. Picked one up tonight at cabelas. Looks good and feels great on the gun and it was only $23.

The claw is super sticky. I love it for my duck gun because you can sling your gun over a big heavy jacket and it'll stay put.

The Claw is good...of course I bought a kind of cheap one at Academy years ago and it's been working just fine. It has soft leather on the padded side. In the big scheme of things I'm not sure what brand of sling you get makes a huge difference.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

I've used both the regular Claw and the Claw Contour and my preference by far is the Contour. If you do a lot of walking it's a great sling for a duck gun. Most hunters are usually loaded with gear walking in and out of a hunt and the smaller pad is less bulky and more comfortable to use, whether you're traveling light, or humping a decoy bag/backpack/Camelback over waders/parka/jacket. It's more flexible and a bit lighter as well. You can un-sling and mount your shotgun in an instant.
One issue I've seen with the regular Claw was the center section of the tri-glide snapping off in cold weather. I've seen it happen twice, once on my shotgun while wading flooded timber with temps in the teens, the second time when they were adjusting their sling. Cabela's swapped mine out no questions asked.

I just put a Northern Flight (Cabelas) on a Benelli M2 that worked well. I do need a new one for my SBE II (max-4) and will have to look at the Claw. This next year we will hunt some public areas that require a healthy hike in. The last thing I want is a sling that won't stay put.

http://www.gunslingsdirect.com/vv-ac.htmlVero Villini slings or great I have used them for years. I have bought 3 in the last 15 yrs and I am still using 2 of them. I use the classic rifle sling in black. They have many more.
