Question: for those who load for the 257 WM, which primers work best? I'm loading 115 grain Berger bullets with IMR 4831, and IMR 4350. Thanks!

I like Federal 215s & have also had great results with CCI 250s.

I also have come to like a slower powder than 4350. I'm working some loads now with some IMR 7828 that I had leftover and seeing good results.

Thanks. Do either of you have any advice for me regarding seating depth in a rifle that requires freebore when using bullets with a secant ogive? I'm just starting to load some Bergers and I know that they are more sensitive to seating depth than bullets with a tangent ogive. Thanks again.

Seating depth, load them so they will fit and feed well through the mag. work with the powder charge to find a sweet spot with it. Have some good shooting loads with Bergers in other calibers that are .08 off the lands. Berger actually recommends on their website going in .04 increments ie. .04, .08 and .12 when looking for other than into or kissing the lands.

Federal 215s with IMR 4831 or IMR 7828, I'm still working on finding my guns favorite load
