I am about to purchase a Gen 2 Night Vision scope, and I am looking for help regarding which brand / model is the best ($2,000 budget). Thanks

I have an Armasight nemesis 6X QS. I'm pretty satisfied with it. However I do wish I would have bought the 4X version of instead of the 6X. I'd rather have the wider field of view that magnification. With my 6X couple with a UNV 20-IR I can spot pigs at 600-700 yards. I've made good shots on pigs at 350 plus yards too. All that being said I have nothing to compare it too.

Retired U. S. Army, which means I still have to work to make a living.

600+ yards is amazing! Hope I can see 50% of that distance when I test my UNV20 this weekend at my lease.

My X-Sight 5-18 using the UNV20IR provided great distance visibility. My longest ranged area was 576 yards and the UNV20 did it's job. I have no doubt I could pick up a pigs body (not just the eye reflections) at that distance. I couldn't make the shot but I'd see then grin

I saw two raccoon at about 225 yards but it was the tail that distinguished them from a possum.

The UNV20IR is a winner.

I've been looking at the Nemesis as well and was curious how it performed. I'd like to stay under the $2000 mark as well. This is to hold me over til I go thermal. I'd love to hear other suggestions
