Walker Family went on a 2 and half day fishing trip on one of the ranches that I consult for in East Texas. It rained all but 1 day straight down. Little lake was 52 acres that rose 5 feet in that time period of us fishing, so muddy to say the least. We ended up catching 15 Big Blues over 45 lbs, average 64 lbs, and the biggest being my wifes 71 lbs. All fish were caught on rod and reels, and there is nothing like fighting a monsters this way. After the dust settled, we filled 3 huge coolers with fish. Crappie were hitting good, kids had 50 caught in 30 minutes. I thought everyone might like seeing the photos.

Now that is a fishing trip !!!!!! Well done sir, nothing beats time in the field with your family! Baker

Where the Crappie monsters like the Catfish?

They were about half and half, nothing real small. It was a catch every cast. I let the kids fish on the down side of a culvert coming into the lake. They were stacked in their like beans in a jar. Was good times.

It was lots of line stretching, I wish we could of seen the ones that poped the line 6 times. I hooked one that was like trying to pull a car up, thought my pole was going to break. I stayed hooked for over 20 minutes an never did get to see him before the line broke. Now that sucks.

Yes skeeter they are good to eat. I had some fillets that were 4 inches thick.
