I received a UNV20IR this weekend and have a few question that I hope current owners might be able to assist with.
1. I didn't receive a users manual and I'm unable to locate one on the Web. Should one be included? Does anyone have a link for the user manual?
2. I charged the provided batteries for 12 hours then 8 more hours but the the charging light stays red. Is there some indicator when the batteries are fully charged?
3. For those folks that have it mounted on an ATN X-Sight, where did you mount it?
Thanks!

Thanks MGP! I'll leave one battery charging until the light turns green Just found below information. Changing UNV 20IR Modes: To change the UNV 20IR mode settings light tap the power switch 8 times consecutively within 5 seconds when the unit is turned on. UNV 20IR Modes - low - medium - high NOTE: A slow strobe indicates low battery. Changing settings in each mode: To change the UNV 20IR light settings in each mode lightly tap the power switch one time while the unit is turned on. NOTE: The UNV 20IR has the ability to reach complete focus. When complete focus is achieved, the UNV 20IR will emit patterns including lines and dark spots. Complete focus is not the optimal focus setting for illuminating a target or shooting, but is beneficial to confirm the LED and aspheric lens are emitting the most efficient and highest amount of light. The 20IR is powered by 1 - 18650 battery which is inserted in the battery compartment positive end first. A slow strobe indicates a low battery. NO NOT USE 2 - CR123A BATTERIES The 20IR comes standard with 2 - 18650 rechargeable batteries.

Looks Like you answered your own questions. Except how does it work with the x-sight. I'm curious about that one as well. I had a UNV 20IR and it works pretty good with my Armasight Gen 2 scope.

The UNV20ir works very well with the sight 5x. I have had mine for 4 or 5 weeks. HUGE improvement over the unit provided with the sight.

TomH FW, how far can you see with the 20IR? Does it work best on low, medium, or the high power setting?

I normally run the UNV20ir on high, but the xsight 5x on medium light amplification and brightness 2 or 3. I would estimate 250+ yds. My normal lines of fire are 100 - 150 yards and are fully illuminated with xsight set to white night mode to get a clear shot at those distances.

I asked elsewhere about optimum placement for the light-
One user suggested mounting in front of your digital scope (X Sight) and below the barrel for best illumination.
Mine is inbound and I will play with moving it forward/backward on the handguard to see if helps with any bloom or glare in close.

- low - medium - high
what? on mine all you have to do is a single half push to change modes (low, medium, high), also have last mode memory

It was a single half push for me as well. Probably a typo. Great IR!

The current unit is just low, medium, high as reflected on our website. Would you mind PMing me where you found this info so I can make sure to get it cleared up? Thanks!

Bearclaw, I found it on a forum after searching for a users manual or instructions. I don't remember what site I was at anymore.
Wish the UNV20IR came with a user manual or their web site had a copy.

I just got mine and used it with my X-Sight 5x . I found that mounting it on the handguard of my ar a little forward of, and just below and left is the best spot for me. I had no problems out to 240 yrds with mine on high and X-Sight on medium , green. This is definitely one of the best illuminators I've found.
