I think that Nogalus Prairie and CCoker both have Nosler 48 rifles, or at least did.

Yes, but I went with Warne two piece bases/rings. You have a good memory. smile

If the OP wants to go with a 20MOA base for the Nosler 48, Night Force sells a 2 piece 20MOA rail that fits the Remington 700 and Nosler M48

for a base isn't the Howa action and Remington the same hole pattern?

Quite a few actions use the same bases as the Remington 700, Howa and Nosler are but 2 of them. That way there are already accessories ie mounts available. Quite a few custom actions are the same way. Either using Remington 700 or Winchester M70 hole spacing.

Problem is for what they cost you can almost do a custom or at worst do a Tikka or Rem semi custom build.

The Nosler IS a semi custom rifle...Nosler Action, aftermarket (rifle basix) trigger, good barrel, and Bell and Carlson Stock....so if you want an elcheapo mass produced rifle, then you are comparing apples to oranges. But, if you buy a Tika or Remington and then do a similar custom build, you are going to spend more, especially if you mess with truing the action....and when your done, the gunsmith probably isn't going to give you a subMOA guarantee like Nolser. Which I know for a fact it will do, cause I own one. They are a great gun if you want a custom but don't want to go all in full custom, but still get the accuracy.

I know exactly what they are...and any gunsmith that won't give you a sub moa guarantee is not a gunsmith anyone should use. Sub moa is not that big of an accomplishment on a gun assembled with a good barrel and accessories.

Glad you like your rifle, they are nice...no doubt about that.
