Does Tikka have any options other than factory and CDI?

What's wrong with CDI?
I think there's a Sako TRG option available now.

I don't like the magazine release button. Mainly the looks, I know it works fine.

There's a couple of Aussie made options I've read about, Lumley Arms and Atlasworx. I have no idea how they compare price or quality wise to CDI. I think all may have the mag release button like the CDI though.
The new Tikka CTR are coming with model specific DBM that uses TRG mags. There was a take-off CTR stock in the classifieds here recently. A lot of guys are looking to drop their CTRs into chassis, so those stock should be attainable. I'm told the TRG mags cost $200 though, so extras would pricey..

Trg mags are expensive. If I do something it will use the aics mags. I would like somrthing like the seekins bottom metal, I like how they did their release.

I made the mistake and kept the original Tikka bottom plastic for my build and will likely upgrade it at a latter date. The Seekins release looks nice but the large lever on the CDI seems like it would be easier to use with gloves on and rapid manipulation.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

For the life of me, I can't figure out why people are so down on trg magazines. How many magazines does one need for a bolt action?
I have three aics mags. Two ten rounders and one five round magazine. Three is plenty for me, and honestly two would be enough if the aics mags were not so damn long.
The way I see it. TRG22 mags allow for longer COAL and are shorter in overall length. Win win if you ask me.
The TRG and CTR already come with one magazine. What is an extra 180-200 bucks in the grand scheme of things?

Another thing to consider is the overall cost, including install. I just had my savage done by them. It was totally free for inletting my blind mag well into the CDI bottom metal. Even shortened the action screws to length for free if u send in your whole rifle. This ended up being a $150-200 savings.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!
