I posted a thread last month about the stock I customized and painted. Well over the last month I decided I hated the color I chose. Been looking at it all month, and it never grew on me. The day I painted it, I thought I loved it, but that quickly faded. Anyways, here's the before and after. I imagine everybody will agree it looks a lot better. Before After- the stock is actually solid green, the black lines are shadows from the tree I'm standing under.

Get an inch and a half long by three quarter inch wide strip of sponge. Latex gloves, shoot the sponge (tan or black, or red brown primer) and apply to the green. Once that's dry apply flat clear coat.
Just a suggestion. Looks much better, never understood the blue.

Just a suggestion. Looks much better, never understood the blue. I think I'm going to keep it solid green for now. I thought the blue was look cool, something different. And it's not going to be a hunting rifle, so I wasn't concerned with the color being unnatural.

I like the shadows on it. Solid green is nice as well.
