I recommend Horizon Firearms. Derrick is great to work with and he builds a rifle that shoots.

I pmed him last week about doing a rebarrel on my savage. I thought the price was very competitive, and I know his work is first class. I'm very likely going to have him do mine come Christmas time.

I PM'd regarding what I need done but I suspect it's more than what I am looking for. I'm not looking for a high end custom job, just looking to have someone pull the 20" 270 Win barrel off my sons Rem 700 and install a unfired take off 24" Rem 700 25-06 barrel and headspace it. Been quoted $150 plus shipping, $170 locally and referred to a well known gunsmith out of state that will do it for $100 plus shipping.
