Not one person on here owns, or has ever owned, or knows someone that's owned a Polaris EV?

Not one person on here owns, or has ever owned, or knows someone that's owned a Polaris EV? No, but I did research them thoroughly before deciding to build up an electric hunting vehicle based off a golf cart. Long story short, Polaris still has bugs to work out on them. They have had issues with batteries and controllers. And, they are heavy for an electric vehicle at over 1,700 lbs. Compare that to a golf cart weighing in at ~1,100 lbs. This hurts your range and run time. My conclusion was there are better electric UTVs out there. My own course of action was to build what I needed and save >$4K over purchasing new in the process. However, in 5 to 10 years I believe there will be some real contenders in the electric UTV department. Li-ion batteries and hub motors will be a game changer.

I think the main issue is range. I can go forever with my diesel Mule. It is obviously much louder but the hassle and worry of running out of juice will put me off until the technology is better. I'l just keep paying Al Gore for carbon credits and drive on.

We tried a Polaris EV for one season a couple of years ago and had lots of issues with it but the concept is great. Last year we bought the Hunt-Ve as it is very similar to the Bad Boy Buggy but was locally designed and built so we went with it. It is an amazing 4 wheel drive off road vehicle with incredible climbing power and is Quiet. It uses the best battery system (Trojan Batteries) and the best controller so they just don't have problems and their range is unbelievably good, My recommendation is you should test drive them before you buy one.
