found a CMMG Wasp 22 upper w/ 2 mags $350. Had a lower & parts kit setting in the bottom of my safe that will be used to build this toy.

And found a very nice skinner for my wife made by James Ivy $175

I came up empty handed. Did see some P-Mags for $10 (new).

Saw a great buy on a Weatherby Mark V Sporter wood model in 7mm Rem Mag with a Leupold Vari X II 3x9x40 scope for $725. Condition was probably close to 95%. He said he had one just like it in 300 Weatherby but another dealer bought it from him before I got there. That was probably the best buy I saw in the whole show.

I skipped it. I quit going to the shows a few years ago.

Guess my patience just ain't what it used to be.

Last one I went to was about four years ago. I recall someone writing about gun shows a long time ago, and he figured it was just a big huge free-for-all meeting where everyone gets together and tries to put the britches on everyone else. I think that's a fairly accurate description of a gun show.

My buddy picked up a Sig STX. That thing looks sweet! I want his burl grips for my Spartan. We'll see if he let's go of them

I went with my FIL and told him after we walked the whole thing that the 7mm Mag Mark V was the best buy there. Really nice rifle for that sort of money. If it hadn't been a 7mm Mag, I might've considered it. I had the warden's authorization to buy a gun, but didn't find any decent deals on a 308, 7mm-08, or 6.5 Creedmoor. Ended up buying a Savage 11 VT bull barrel 308 with a Bushnell scope today at Dick's for $565 out the door minus a $50 mail in rebate. Will probably trade the Bushnell in at SWFA towards a 16x42 SS. Looking forward to getting it on the range.

Didn't end up making it to this one, although my plan was to try to sell a few things more so than buy a few things...

Three cans of .177 pellets for $1.50 each. Worth about $10 each. A hot dog and coke. $10 bucks. There was a great 742 Remington for $350 asking. I passed, but shouldn't.
