Does ANYONE here have a Glock in this round? I have a present for you. FREE, just come and take it. A box of JHP for the taking. I'm tired of looking at it.

Pickup the wrong box of ammo during the craze? Doesn't even have to be an owner of a 45 GAP that can use this ammo. The revolvers that use moon clips for 45ACP will shoot the 45GAP ammo.

Don't remember the model number was from WW-I Colt and S&W both made them. S&W brought them back a few years ago, chambered for 45ACP but since they headspace off the halfmoon clips the 45GAP will work in them. Another is the S&W Governor using the moon clips for it. The GAP will be shorter but work. Like you can use 380 in the S&W 9mm revolver, or 22 short in a 22lr revolver.

The .45 ACP S&W was the 1917. In later years the .45 cal was the Model 25, but .45 Colt got mixed up in there somewhere and I don't recall the particulars and the ins-and-outs for sure.

Looks like you may have to tape a ten dollar bill to the box to get rid of them.

Colt 1917 and S&W 1917 both made double action revolvers in 45ACP for the Government and then civilian after WW-I. The headaches with the steel moon clips led to the 45 Auto Rim cartridge.

My grand daddy had a Smith 1917. It was the greatest handgun in the world, of course, when I was seven or eight years old. He sold it off or swapped it at some point, and I was shocked to learn much later it was no longer a part of the family and further shocked to learn that it had always been in rather sad shape. Oh well.
