Not sure how many lbs. so many factors as to how close the spin plate is to the funnel, what style of spinner you have, ect.
During hunting season I throw 7 seconds each am and pm Off season I throw less times I throw only 1 time in the morning and 1 time evening.
It probably comes to about 1.5 - 2 lbs. of corn for each throw

It depends if they have shifted to nocturnal. Then I dump less to try to force them to eat earlier. But if the hunting pressure is high, then it's a lost cause

First, set one morning feed and one late afternoon feed. Wait a month then put up a camera. See whats coming to the feeder and base your feed times on the deer. There's no need to feed extra raccoons or hogs. If you have many deer then feed more; less deer then less feed. Ain't no need to waste money on extra corn being fed to birds, racoons, rats, hogs, etc....

I think you would be surprised at how little corn you are really throwing. All of that pinging off the feeder and legs sounds like a ton of corn, but it really isn't. I have measured my throws for over 20 years and found it real helpful in determining feeder settings. Some of my feeders will throw 2.5# per 10 seconds, while others only throw 3/4 of a # per 10 seconds. Feeder spin rate, distance of spinner plate from funnel and corn size will all determine how much corn is thrown. I set a feeder for 5 seconds and hit the test button....then take a 5 gallon home depot bucket and quickly place it against the bottom of the feeder barrel (over the mechanism) and let the 5 seconds worth of corn catch in the bucket. I then pour the caught corn into a plastic grocery bag and weigh on digital fish scales. I then repeat for a 10 second test. From that info, I know pretty close how much corn that feeder throws per second and can calculate the run time for how much corn I want to throw. It will also let you know how many days you will get per bag of corn.....and you can adjust feed times so that your feeder will not run out between trips.

Feeders set to throw corn twice daily @ 7AM & 5PM during off-season. During off season they throw 1.5 lb per cycle. During Hunting Season start adjust to throw 3 lbs per cycle each day.

Bottom section is 127 acres two feeders. The first feeder is in the open part about 3/4 of the section. The other is in the cover about a 1/4 of the section. No cows. Does this seem about right?

I feed twice per day with one before daylight setting and one after dark right now till Sept 1st. I had to turn my feeders down to 2 secs per feeding with all the green now and I feed free choice protein year round. I will leave them like that to keep them running.

I throw twice a day, am and pm. I use a corn/protein mix and adjust to their usage, never measured how much.

Off season. Like most 1 x am, 1 x pm. One month before season. 2 am & 2 pm. What works good for me on the last two leases. I have a road feeder on my 4 wheeler. I drive down to the feed area and turn on the feeder. I'll sling about a half of a bag. The deer assocate my 4 wheeler with food and they are waiting on me to show up. I don't shoot much out of my stand and the feeder is 135 yds away. If I want a doe, we have a stand for that....

During the off season I do a bag a week. It makes it easy to keep up with. That comes to about 3-4 seconds (depends on the feeder) both morning and evening, so about 3 1/2 pounds per feeding. Before and during season double that.

Geez you guys feed a lot. I have two 500lb corn/soybean spin feeders, and one 800lb timed protein trough feeder. Right now, my feeders (about 150 yards apart) throw 1 sec - one throws in morning, the other in afternoon. Our lease has plenty of feed, so I just want to keep them in the habit of coming by twice a day for a taste of candy. I want them to eat it all, so the is none left for coons, cows, or hogs.
The Protein feeder right now is stepped up and is throwing about 7-8 pounds - I will adjust once I get new cam pics to match the number of deer coming. I will run protein hard until end of june, when I will start to back it off. By August I will have started stepping up corn to 2, then 3 seconds.
A month before season (about the start of bow season), the feeders will be cut back in duration, but throw twice in morning/evening. I will add "goodies" to the spin feeders like soybeans, peas, and/or skittles. This is primarily to make my feeders the most attractive on the lease. Will step up protein too - not for any nutritional reason - but just as an attractant because the love it so....
