That's kinda funny that the researchers are just now figuring that out... Been hunting in Wyoming since the 80's and seems as though everyone that hunts has known about that..
Always hope that the weather will kick the deer out of the mountains and get them moving during hunting season.
Years ago when the deer numbers where up it was not uncommon in the fall or early winter to have to stop on the highway between Oregon buttes and Farson Wyoming for up to 10 minutes to wait for a break in the deer to get through.
The numbers of deer and elk have dropped every year since the tree huggers got the wolves put back in.
