Are you worried about mag capacity?

Both the Sig & Glock are dependable carry side arms. Sig feels a little heavier. Glock seems to feed just about any ammo. For some reason the first shot out the Sig from a full mag is a little low...don't think you could go wrong with either. The Sig takes a few more rounds fired to break in well...IMHO

I love my sig. I think there are a few more safety features with the sig if that makes a difference with you. I just happen to be more accurate with sigs over glocks but that is me.

I just generally like Sigs more than Glocks, so my vote goes to the P239.

Both are very close in length /width. I believe the Sig is a bit heavier with less magazine capacity and can be had with different trigger setups (DA/SA) for example. Which one fits your hand the best and is the easiest to fire consistently?

Here's a different side for you. I've carried both, and for some reason, my sweat could make the back of the sig slide start to rust in the summer heat. In about a day. For some reason, the Glock did not. I enjoyed shooting both guns, but ended up going with the Glock for mag capacity and the ability to resist my evil sweat.

I love my Sigs, I would never steer anybody away from one, but I have to admit I gave up my 239 for a 26. It was lighter, more round capacity plus I can use the 17 mag in it, and it just works. Carry it everyday and all day on the weekends in a FFR holster and sometimes forget it's there

Much like everybody else I'm a Sig fan, just not for carry. My favorite gun, outside of a carry gun is my Sig P228.

same here, much more accurate with a sig, and it does have some added safety with that heavy first pull in DA/SA mode
but it's much heavier and lower capacity, great firearm very accurate but maybe not ideal for daily carry

Personal preference. Get what YOU like!!! I can not stand single/double action, so I won't use these pistols. Glock all the way for me.

just to be fair, you can get the sig in a LEM trigger variation thats the same pull everything. but its a longer heavy pull.

not saying one is better than the other, but it's an option

I vote neither for CC and if I chose it would be the glock in a 9, not a 40

Boils down to safety's and do you want them.

I suggest that the less training and experience you have, the better safety's are.
I'd hate to put a bullet in a leg or gut trying to pull out the gun under stress.

I've tried to carry both and both were just too big and heavy to be comfortable or concealable in my mind. I went with a PM40 and then have an LCP so that there is never an excuse not to carry something...

I sold the Glock off and kept the Sig, not sure why though. It just sits in the safe.

And it matters if you carry with a round in the chamber or not. If so, the Sig is inherently safer; if not, the less weight and higher capacity of the glock help;

I'd also consider the P224, allowing high cap magazines.
