No, but like any place else in Texas it depends on what is going on around it.

Yes, we've owned a small parcel (~85 acres) since 1979. We are east of town, east of the 377/41 split.
We are in a subdivided area (Diamond Ranch). The place has had its ups and downs but we've killed plenty (>100)of deer, hogs and exotics over the years. No monsters but plenty of HC 8 pts-12 pts. Like others have said, depends on neighbors. Having water on your place would really attract game but we have never had it.

I hunt 56 acres west of Rocksprings off Cty Rd 450. Lots of deer if you feed consistently and our place has a water well so a few axis run through. We are surrounded by other small tracts but they dont shoot too much. Opening weekend is hunt hard then it really slacks off. There are no high fencing anywhere near so that helps also.

I've got 100 acres in Carta Valley and have deer on the game camera every day. It's 1/2 axis & 1/2 whitetail. For some reason my next door neighbor doesn't have as many animals.

Y'all that have the 50-100. How often do you target shoot out there or not at all during season but maybe off season you do?

We never target shoot... not bc we are afraid to scare animals just not into it. I only shoot to sight my rifle in at a gun range in SA. But if you are trying to keep deer comfortable on small acerage I wouldn't.
