Anybody have a 28 Nosler yet, custom or stock. I want one but I've looked for brass and can't find much.

I have been looking at this and can't decide on a 28 Nosler or a 280AI. I know brass is almost impossible to find and is high. Is it really that much better than the 280 AI?

Mine will be just a hunting rifle for long distance. To shoot the 180 bergers. Figuring I could get 3250 with the 180s. Its about 250 faster than a long throated 7 from what I can tell. That may not sound like a lot but when berger finishes their 195 for the 7mm. It will be worth it.

I think this may answer a prior post on the forum " at what point is it a magnum"

This is a magnum class in ever sense of the word bet it has a hell of a kick:

built on a 404 jeffrey case

175 gr (11.3 g) Nosler AccuBond Long Range 3,125 ft/s (952 m/s) 3,806 ft·lbf (5,160 J)
160 gr (10.4 g) Nosler AccuBond 3,300 ft/s (1,000 m/s) 3,883 ft·lbf (5,265 J)

It's said to be a G1 .794 and g7 of .406 and a g7 form factor of .850 so it's a pretty slick design.
