Buddy on another forum I am on took this beast a few days ago:  He is holding it forward which makes it look a little bigger than it really is but it is still the biggest Jack I have ever seen. Supposedly 15 lbs.

That looks more like a domestic Flemish Giant than a jackrabbit to me. The jacks in this part of the world start at 5 lbs and can get as big as this guy at 15 lbs. Proper name for them is European Hare. They were introduced from eastern Europe or western Asia about 100 years ago and adapted quite well to our terrain. You can tell it is a hare and not a rabbit by the length of the legs. The hind legs on a Flemish are nothing like the legs on this guy. Photo below shows a Flemish which have much shorter legs:
