Not getting very good results with factory ammo on this rifle so going to start reloading for it. I reload pistol but this will be my first rifle cartridge. I currently have IMR 4895 powder, 155gn Amaxs and some hornady form fired brass. Anyone got some good loads worked up for this rifle and a good oal?

If you start about mid way between min and max, and work up to max (or just beyond it), you will find something good. 4895 and a 155 amax is a great combo and not very picky on the loads. If you use LC (Lake City) brass, decrease the load data by about 1 to 1.5 grains.

Cool thanks. I don't have a chrono so I'm just going to look for pressure signs on the case I guess.

Yes. The 2 main pressure indicators will be sticky bolt lift and shiny spots on the case head (usually ejector swipes). I don't look at the primer, since there are too many variations in bolt faces and primer cup thicknesses (unless it's obvious).

Lake City Long Range brass, 150 gr SST, CCI LR primer, and 43.9 gr Varget. This is out of a Remington 700 with a 20" stainless Hart bull barrel.

Threw this out on your other post, but I've also seen excellent results in that rig with Varget, specifically with Nosler Custom Comps, but I don't expect that it's unique to that particular bullet.

I have a 700 LTR in 308 with a 20" barrel. Loves Varget and 168 Nosler CC
