Already itching for the 2015 season to kick off, thought I would share a few pics from this past season. This was the first year I haven't drawn an antelope tag with my dad in WY so the season started off in KS for the early muzzleloader season. With the high temps and ample vegetation, we were sent home empty handed, anxious to return in December. Drew a good mulie tag in NM but only had 2 days to hunt and couldn't pull it off. Made one stalk on a mid 160's and he vanished, neither of us had any idea where he went. Off to CO to chase elk with my dad during the 2nd rifle season. It didn't turn out quite like we were told as my dad never saw an elk but I got lucky on the 4th day and ran into 8 cows and a small bull. First bull ever and I got to share it with my pops......something I'll always remember. November had me in Donley Co and was lucky enough to catch a couple days of the rut before going back to work and connected on a nice 8. Back to KS in December and had a 9 that was a little busted step out so I let the smoke pole bark. Luckily, this dude fell about 20 yards from a 2 track so I was able to scoot him up a little incline and back right up to him. Only had to lift him a couple feet into the back of the truck but that was enough by myself (a big thanks to HMan for letting me hunt with him)! Finally ended up in Sonora and took my widest whitetail to date. Here's a few pics and thanks for looking!

First Bull!

Donley Co 8. 135 7/8"

KS 9. 137 7/8" busted like he is.

Last but not least, Sonora 8. 20 7/8" inside.

Thanks fellas! Between work and chasin' critters I didn't get to see home much but we all had a great time last fall. Freezers are definitely full and I must say, that elk steak was unreal!
