Just settled into the bow blind on this warm Feb morning. Winds out of the South 5-10.
Have a friend in a rifle blind on other side of property. Hopefully going to cut the MLD tags in half this weekend.
I have 5 arrows going to try and get them all bloody this morning. Of course if axis or piggy steps out it will make its way into my freezer.
I have pretty good 10 point hitting this spot on a regular basis. If he hasn't dropped his horns yet. I have already seen a few bucks missing their head gear.

I'll say!!! Very slow for me too. Stayed out all last night hunting for two problem boars and both were no shows. Very few whitetail seen and normally I always see at least 6-12.

Even axis were slow - big boys have all but disappeared - but did see a couple of herds roaming around from 10p-2a, but virtually no movement in the mornings or evenings.

Saw more WT driving back to ranch after picking up feed at Wheelers. Saw 15 or so deer out on the road by the lake at 4-4:30

Heading back out at 3am after a nap for one last try for those boars.

Did see a bunch of turkey this morning though - more than I've seen in quite a while. Gonna be a good turkey season.

I spent the last two days out trying to fill two last doe MLD tags......I got one down, but I had to work for it. Didn't even see one axis, which is really rare for me.

Really slow movement on deer. Turkey are gearing up though - with terrible calling (trying to phone with one hand and call on the slate with the other) called up a group of gobblers right up next to the popup. Wish it was that easy during season.
