Starting February 17 we will start filling the remaining openings on the Double Draw Ranch, which now consists of 900 acres just outside of Junction. Our chapter has exclusive rights to the ranch during turkey season and for the past few years our committee has done turkey hunts on this ranch with very high success.

It's a 4 day hunt that includes lodging, excellent meals, and 1 gobbler all for $400. Depending on the number of birds harvested on the first hunt there may be an option to take a 2nd on the following two hunts. You'll also get the opportunity to hunt hogs and varmints at no extra cost and if you desire to upgrade to an exotic hunt that option is available as well.We usually take up to 6 or 7 hunters on these hunts and as there is lots of space to spread out and plenty of birds.

Right now we have 4 openings on April 8th - 11th and 5 openings on April 22nd - 25th. Openings are secured by deposit of $200 only and after our committee meeting on the 16th we will open the remaining hunts on a first come first serve basis until these last couple of openings are filled. Still have a few openings available for the Junction Turkey hunts. We currently have 2 openings left for April 8th - 11th, and 5 Openings for April 22nd - 25th. We will be the only groups hunting 9 acres and the ranch is loaded with birds. Landowner is seeing numerous different groups of 50-60 birds. There been great hatches on this ranch for the past few years so there is a great number of mature birds. Here is my bird from last spring...

Landowner just text me this morning saying he saw a flock of 47 birds. Text back about 2o minuts later saying his brother in law was just working on the other side of the ranch and saw another huge flock of at least 100 birds with a lot of strutting toms in the group. We still have 2 openings for April 8th - 11th and 3 openings for April 22nd - 25th. If he gets some pictures to share I'll post them. Let me know if you're interested...

Still a few openings...Landowner is seeing a lot of birds. He's seen different flocks between 40 - 100 birds with lots of strutters in the groups. Also starting to hear a few gobbles early mornings when he steps outside of the ranch house. I guarantee you'll eat like kings, have a great time hunting, and pretty sure you will plan to go again next year.
