Hey guys, My father and I have had a hard time finding an annual deer lease.. Has anyone in here had any experience with online lease finders like Texas Hunting Post or Hunting Locater?

Trying to decide if its worth the time and money to pay for the registration on one of these sites.

Thanks in advance.

Don't waste your time with Texas Lease Connection.

I browse through lease sites ever once in a while. For the sites that don't give the contact name/number, I just copy/paste the first few words of the ad into a search engine. Most of the time, the same lease is posted in other places on the net along with contact info.

there are also several hunting/lease groups that you might have some luck with on Facebook (if you use Facebook)... Even some reasonably priced day/weekend hunts for deer, hog, varmint, exotics, combination of several ...

Why not post here? I'd describe what I was looking for, how many hunters you have, what area of Tx, how many acres your looking for, what your looking to pay, & management/hunting plan.

I dont think much of CL.

Good luck!

How much are you willing to pay for a lease?

I found my current lease on leasehunter.com. You don't have to pay to look at the listings, but once you find one you are interested in you have to pay to get the contact info. I think it was $10 or $20 for a six month membership. I never thought to use a search engine to find the contact info elsewhere but that's a really good idea.

Hang in there, I know looking for a lease can be tough and seem impossible at times but you can find a place if you're persistent in your search. Good luck!

leasehunter.com has been the best that I have seen - but you must check daily and be ready to respond quickly. This is the time of year they start showing up.

Yep, Leasehunter.com is where I found ours last year. Again, don't mess with Texas Lease Connection, waste of time and money. And yes, you do have to check daily, maybe even even hourly!

I'll try out LeaseHunter.com

As far as what I'm looking for.. Need a place for my father and myself, would like for it to be within 3hrs of DFW if possible but would be willing to drive further if needed. Looking to spend around 1500-1800 per gun
