I am looking to get a lab between now and September. I have been impressed with Dark Timbers website but was wondering if anyone here can give me some feedback on their operation.

There is definitely plenty to like. Jason is good at communicating and trying to find a dog to match the owner. I am sure he can provide references if you ask. I own two dogs from his kennel and I work closely with him on a weekly basis training.

I have a brother to this pup.

I dug up this from another site.

Thanks for the info Leonardo. That was an awesome video of Pilot, pretty amazing at that age.

I have a buddy that has a litter of nice yellow pups available. Sire is a MH MNH5 and the dam is a MH QAA. Send me a PM if you want his contact info.

I don't have experience with DTK, but follow this lead:

Assuming the sire is Mick, and breeder is Frank, you should get a good dog (I apologize in advance if this isn't who is being referenced, just sounds familiar).

Mick is the sire of my new pup, and Frank is good to deal with and has fair prices. I'm sure Kevin with stone-cold retrievers could set up a great training package too.

Thanks guys to all of you that have responded. I kinda have my heart set on DTK's puppy/training package and have gotten nothing but positive feedback on them so I plan on pursuing a pup from them first. Ive heard enough positive things about the other pups and trainer mentioned to definitely contact them if it does not work out with Dark Timber.

Thanks again for all of the help
