Would a coyote foot trap do any damage to a cow? or does anyone have ideas for keeping cows out of foot traps?

To a grown cow no. To a young calf, well . . .

But I guess a nosy deer it would hold? Maybe they would not be smelling around something that smells like fox urine or something dead.

A coyote trap will not hurt or hold a cow. when I set a coyote trap a cow will not get in it anyway. A mb550 wont hold a deer or a hog. You need to set your traps in such a way that non target animals wont get in them because a thrown trap cant work.
