Was my first muzzleloader. It was easy to clean and accurate. Sold it to get the Optima with a stainless barrel, but I think the
Wolf is offered with a SS barrel now.

I've never owned a Wolf. But I've sighted in two of them for members of my hunting lease who were new to muzzle loading, and worked up hunting loads for them. I found both guns to be well made, solid rifles. And had no problem working up a good accurate hunting load. Both guns shot really well with 240 grain XTPs over 90 grains of Pyrodex RS.

Check your local Walmarts, especially the ones in rural areas that often stock muzzleloaders. The Walmarts around here have a deep end of season discount on any Wolfs they have left.

Here are the Cabala's prices on the various models.

Here is your Wolf..bear in mind it has a 24" barrel and is really a budget rifle intended for people starting into muzzleloading.

Another two options that you may want to consider....note the Optima has a 26" barrel and is also made by CVA but it is a gun that you probably wont grow out of.

Here is TC's entry level offering....just an FYI

Barrel length is important...you get better velocity with a 26" vs a 24" barrel.
