I saw that awhile ago. I think there is some shilling going on with some of the auctions. Some of those auctions are way out of line with what the exact same stuff is selling for on the very same site.

ha ha - like the 'Description' on that item in link:

"Product Information
his ammo arrived yesterday, March 1, 2015, with just 15 days left in the ATF comment period.
It’s an exciting, but long, story of how our guys located this ammo at a defense contractor just after ATF’s announcement on February 16, waited for it to be declared surplus to a DEA contract; then worked hard to get it expedited to our warehouse. It arrived two days before our self-imposed deadline and here it is. Hard to imagine that this may be the last supply of SS109 ammo ever offered to the public.
Aim Straight,
Larry Potterfield"

That's really funny since you can go to any WalMart and buy SS109 ammo at $0.34 a round. They're just trying to get the panic buying started.

God has a plan and something special in mind for all of us. Do you know the direction that God wants to send you?

Check out the bidding history of this one... The "winner" bid 3 times in a row w/out anyone outbidding him..

Who's paying over $1/rd on this stuff right now? Just the shill bidders...

That is how a "proxy" bid shows up. In a proxy, you input the maximum amount you are willing to bid, and the auction site bids for you up to that amount.

Say the auction opens at $1. A bidder (#1) proxy bids $10, so the auction site puts him in at $1 (opening bid.) Then bidder #2 bids $2, so the site "proxies" bidder #1 to $3. Then bidder #3 bids $7, so the site "proxies" #1 to $8 for the win. So bidder #1 pays $8, even though he was willing to pay up to $10. Bidders #2 and #3 never show up on the bid list, because they were never the high bidder.

Hope this makes sense...
