My brother has a buddy/customer that he was asking if i would be interested in loading bullets for. So, my 2 part question is , not knowing anything about this round, is there a bullet/ weight / powder combo they prefer? I know every gun is different. Just like to get a starting point. Also any ideas on what would be a fair asking price for the work. He wants to pay to have them loaded.

For how much to charge to hand load, add the price of the components you will have to use and add a multiplier that would make it worth your time.

For example;
Powder @ $30 pound, 127 rounds per pound, $0.24 each
Primer @ $45 per 1000, $0.05 each
Bullets @ $45 per 100, $0.45 each
Brass @ $100 per 100, $1.00 each
$1.73 per round.
That's just the cost of the raw materials. How much time will you have to spend determining COAL, node testing and fine tuning the primer, powder and bullet combination?

If he only wants twenty or thirty rounds it can be fairly costly in your time and energy. If he is looking for three or four hundred then the economies of scale make it a little more worth while.

I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. Too much liability in freelancing ammo. I believe there are legal questions also.

Buy a few boxes of factory ammo, dump it in a zip lock and sell it to him at a profit.

260 Rem will do well with a 130 VLD, a 140 VLD, and a 140 A-max atop H-4350.

But I wouldn't get in this deal with anyone but a good friend you can trust 100%. Not an aquatence of a friend or family member.

JG has .260-on-the-brain. I don't think his eyes can even see an 8.
