I love that picture. I guess I see the world different. I see that picture and it begs for answers to some questions. Was there a stout right to left wind? Note the red line and how crisp the right side of the muzzle blast is in the picture. The green shows the distance the muzzle moeved backwards in that tiny fraction of a second, but the barrel is seems to be still on the same plane as the pellets and shot cup. Yall kick that around for a while.

That is an interesting question and I'd like to hear about the wind too. Is it possible that the muzzle blast is circular and the angle of the picture is not showing it that way? For instance, you can't see the right side of the barrel, due to the solid object blocking our view. The muzzle blast particulate is not solid but could be partially blocking our view maybe. I don't know, you made me curious.

I like where you headed with that Dave. There is obviously something going on. I think you're onto something with the angle. We can see the particulate matter as it starts to scatter at the front left side of the blast. The rear looks more uniform due to the high pressure keeping the particulate matter in straight lines. They havent had the time to stray off course yet.

There was very little wind. One thing may be increased recoil as I was holding the camera and shooting one handed. I did t have my left hand to hold the front of the gun down.
