Well we were fully booked for 2015, unfortunately one of our regular bear hunting clients had to go for major back surgery recently and has had to postpone this springs hunt with his sons to 2016. So we now need to fill those vacancies. We operate in Manitoba, Canada and we have a high success rate and take some big record book bears every year. Additionally, about 40 % of the bears in our area are not black. This past year our hunters took a number of bruins that made Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett. Our hunts are normally $3,750 US per person, which includes applicable taxes and the bear licence, but these cancellation hunts have been reduced to $3,350. If you are interested please have a look at our website at www.canadianblackbearhunt.com. These hunts can be conducted in the spring or fall. If you have any questions or want to enquire about available dates do not hesitate to call or drop us an e-mail through our website. Cheers! Lots of pictures on our website. Have been asked by a few people about getting a gun into Canada........ bringing a rifle or a shotgun into Canada is not difficult and is actually way easier for you guys than it is for a Canadian to take a rifle into the US for hunting. You fill out a form and present it at customs when you cross the border or go through customs at the airport. They check your form and compare it to your rifle, you sign it and pay a $25 fee and away you go. You can't bring a handgun. No permit required at all for crossbows or regular archery equipment. There is also an option to apply for your permit in advance if desired.
With regards to your bear hide and meat, you can take it with you and your bear licence acts as your export permit for 30 days after the date of kill. So no problems at all in that regard. You can also leave it to be mounted by a local taxidermist if desired, they do great work, but rates are usually cheaper south of the 49th than they are up here. Totally up to the individual what works best for them.
Wolf and coyote can also be taken on the fall hunts, but are not open on the spring hunts. Fishing is also available with four lakes within a 5 mile radius of our ranch.
Cheers!
