Looking for a ballpark value of this gun. Gun is in decent shape, shoots well and also has a Leupold 6 power scope on it. I know there are tons of variables but just looking for a ballpark price
thanks

Knowing what it is, I'd say its worth around $650 in nice shape with the scope.

+1. Question is, why would anyone ever get rid of the best shooting little factory gun (specifically the 788 in 222 Rem) ever made!?!?!

There might be a little wiggle room on price depending on which Leupold is on it but not much.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I been to a few gun shows in last year, Remington 788s more than hold their value, bought my first one at a Gibsons for less than $200, I have one in .308, wish I could find one in .22-250, 7mm-08,222 and .44 mag.....hindsight....
