Don't worry about holding any deer, just throw a couple of cheap feeders up, a couple of tripods and roll the dice. Who knows? Some nice deer in that country.


How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

All I will say is go with your gut. If it feels bad don't push forward. Also, have reasonable expectations as posted previously. 3 on 165 is tight. I'd post several hidden poacher cams given the reputation of the area.

Good advice, thx guys. Just found out the previous folks had it leased for 15 years until the father died. The mom kept it for three years after he passed but the kids lost interest and never went back. The LO and son went to clean it up two years ago and haven't been back since. So it has been five years since it was hunted and two years since it was maintained. If we have a wet spring down there, this season might be a good one !
