$1500.00 a gun is unheard of in the part of Texas, trust me, i've been looking, that would be a great deal for someone that just wants to hunt S.Texas and shoot a few deer, and not worried about BC score and spending a ton of money on management.

I'm with BenBob. Deep South Texas aint what it used to be. The game is but the risk probably isn't. Even though I still know people who go to mexico for a deer.

I'm with BenBob. Deep South Texas aint what it used to be. Don't know if I agree with that, we have had a family lease for 30+ years on the Webb/Zapata county line and it's still damn good hunting with no issues. LOs have treated us nearly like family and have other properties to get their limited hunts on. Closer to the border could be different I suppose; we're about 25 miles away from it.

My hunts in south texas i have seen double the mature bucks i have seen in any other parts of the state and ive hunted them all but far west as far a free range goes.
