I'm thinking of picking up a second IR Illuminator. My other is the streamlight illuminator, but would like something with a bit more flexibility. Searching Amazon I came across these ready to go IR illuminators. I'm hoping that someone can weigh in on them, since these are inexpensive, but if they don't work I'd be throwing my money away...

I got one of their red lights, the batteries on my analyzer only measured around 800- 1000 mah, not as their ratings. The charger I found out can be bought for less than $1 and charges poorly for what is needed for best performance on the 18650 batteries.

The red light isn't nearly as bright as my Kill Light. So I question the sources of their products and what LED's they are using in all their lights. Each LED is rated at different power levels depending on what LED they use from which manufacturer.

I guess I'll be the guinea pig... Opted for the T67

Since this for a second setup I can use which ever is better between the Streamlight and T67. Hopefully this will still allow me to scan the fields and give better close in performance than my current Streamlight.

Took the advice from the above post and ordered separate charger and batteries. Here is what I ordered:

VicTsing LCD Display 18650 3.7V Rec...650 AA/AAA Rechargeable li-ion Batteries
[Linked Image]

Evolva Future Technology Model 809-Grande-IR High quality T67
[Linked Image]

Found some reviews:

Seems to be the same specs.

this is what most of us use for charger/analyzer with 18650's and numerous other batteries, like I said above, gotta watch what you pay for, sounds too good to be true, usually is...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BT-C3400-Battery...=item4d2489fc0c

it will charge analyze the following batteries:
NiMH/NiCd sizes: AAAA, AAA, AA, A, C and SubC. Li-ion sizes: 10440, 14500, 14650, RCR123A (17340), 17500, 17670, 18350, 18500, 18650, 19670 (protected 18650), 25500, 26500, 26650

Thanks for the information on the charger. Found it on amazon.

I'm not sweating the light. If it doesn't perform as advertised Amazon is pretty good about making good, and if not it's no loss.

Funny that I cheap out on this stuff, but spend a fortune on the ranch... Oh well something has got to give.

Searching the internet, apparently these appear to be the same lights all made in China.

The UK Night Vision Forum had sources direct at a lower cost, but more hassle.

[Link to the forum thread.]

The Lights:

[Link to the manufacturer of the focus-abe LED 840nm hunting lights].

Adjustable mount (looks flimsy to me) to center the beam (LED's are slightly off center):

[Link to windage and elevation adjustable picatinny mount].

200MW Focus-able laser in 830nm (near the bottom of the page):

[Link to the source in China for the 830nm Laser].

Hope this helps anyone looking to get into NV at the lowest cost. I'm off to work on the ranch and shoot some pigs (if I have the time).

After looking at the specs, it does not say if it supports the new 18650B batteries, so I'm going to run with what I bought. Thanks for the tip.

Dave, cheap real deal for IR-Lights in nightvision is T38,T50 and T67,
all made by Uniquefire in China, Osram Olson 850nm or 940nm.
Evola is uniquefie, 200 pieces and you get your logo prínted on
the flashlight.

Thanks for confirming. The specs are the same, so I was pretty sure they were.

What? 200 mw 830nm - How is that not a laser?

I think you are referring to an IR aiming laser, where this is a laser that is hitting a lens to illuminate, rather than using an L.E.D.

I said that is NOT an 'IR' laser....

The wavelength is a standard laser, visible to the human eye, but you never posted why you posted a laser, since this thread was about IR lights. So if you want an IR laser that you can see well with a digital scope or regular night vision, then you need to get an 850nm IR laser. I use a Lasermax Laser IR on my gun with my PVS-14:

http://www.lasermax.com/Products/IRLasers.aspx

notice on the top of my rail a small flat item, that is the IR laser

edit, I missed the part where it had IR wavelegths...but that thing is huge

Can you comment on how it holds up to recoil? To be rather blunt, the mounts do not look very robust.

I have a cheapo T20 I bought off Amazon and it's held up great. The mount is junk of course but I switched it into a Daniel Defense mount and its been great. It's good illumination out to 600 or better as viewed through a high spec thin film PVS-14.

No problem with the mount holding recoil on my .308W, havn't tried
on the 9.3x62 yet.

It's the chineese new year so orders
are not processed atm, and you need to
order at least 50 pieces for them to ship,
I have some extras both in 850nm and 940nm.

Just a follow up for anyone that was wondering.

The T67 came in all the way from China in just over 2 weeks and it works as advertised. Blows my streamlight out of the water.

All for less than $50!

As MrKingLouie mentioned they shut down for the Chinese new year, but will be back up on amazon afterwards.

Did you get the T67 or the T50?

I have a sightmark Photon XT and I am currently illumination. I have looked at the lights you pictured on Amazon.

I think I want a T20, T50 and T67. But Im not sure.

It is the T67.

I also bought one of MrKingLouie's T50's to compare as well but it has not arrived.

Also it can mount on the Burris pepr AR15 mount with the addition of a truglow 1" high riser (4" long) and extra high rings.

Hope this helps.

Awesome.

Any pics of it mounted?

Is it a 1 inch or 30mm tube?

I was told that mounting forward of the scope works best. Im thinking I will mount as far forward below the barrel.
