Anybody have thoughts on these rifle? I'm looking at getting one in 22-250 and was hoping someone had experience with them.

Thanks, Rex

I have an X Bolt Medallion and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one. I'm willing to bet the A Bolt will be every bit as good.

In 22-250, you will be fine. They shoot very well. My main complaint on the Browning A-bolt rifles is the short magazine box. If you reload ammo for this rifle, you have to seat the bullet deep in the case to feed and function out of the mag. This limits the bullet options that are available. You can not shoot the heavy for caliber bullets or the long skinny Berger VLD's in this rifle very well. In a 22-250, you will not have this problem, since you will be using lighter, shorter bullets anyway.

Thanks Chad. I'm definitely not reloading for it, factory ammo shoots beyond my abilities currently so I'll be sticking with that.

I have a medallion in 7mm and its a very nice rifle, I love the gun

A little light so it kicks like the dickens but IMO it's really hard to beat a browning

I had the same gun in 243 and it shot great. I would put a Timney Trigger spring in it and you will like it a whole lot more.

Ok, so it looks like I've got one of these on the way to the local Cabelas. Anyone have some scope ring/base recommendations? I've got a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44mm that I am planning on using for it.

Picked up the rifle today, gotta say I'm happy with it. 639$ on close out at cabelas. Bad picture but the wood is really nice.

Will do, need to do a little research on some ammo now. Looks like the barrel twist is 1:14, anybody have some recommendations for this round?

I have a Browning A-bolt in .260 that i have had for about 15 years. Love it! Good looking gun, and damn nice scope.

I really like that vortex. I had it mounted on my DPMS .223 upper before this and loved it.

Looks like you used Leupold Std mounts and rings.

Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

I did end up with Leupold rings, honestly I needed something on the gun for last weekend and this was my only option at the local cabelas. I'm looking at getting a one piece base in the future. Also have the timney trigger spring on order.
