Brand new barrel, nearly pushing 168's @ 2700 fps. I'd say this is going to shape up to be a fine shooting rifle. It's already looking very, very good. I am so shocked this is happening since Derrick built it. peep

with 47gr of H414 2730fps was a breeze... but there is something fishy going on so I'm still playing around a bit...

What do you mean something fishy? If can find some 162gr Amax the bearing surface and will yield higher velocity and virtually the same bc.

About to send my son's .260 model 7 to Derrick, maybe a creedmoor when I get it back. I think I'm more excited than my sons.

If you have some H4350 to try, it works well in my 26" barrel. 46gr under a 162 at 2775fps.

no bueno on the 162's as they are a bit on the long side........

162 Amax 1.415"

Berger 168 Classic 1.350"
