Weight Go with a more vertical grip, not typical ar Some have a round forend, = bad Cheek rest areas always look uncomfortable
The KRG are the most comfortable I've handled I was wondering why everyone is going light? Reasons for each fellas? That grip style on the KRG looks like you need some bear paws to reach the trigger? Is it not that bad in person? Why woukd a round forend be bad with a bipod? A rounded forend isn't bad with a bipod, however you don't always use your bipod. On some shooting stages like we had a the Hunters Challenge you shoot off a barricade without a bipod so a rounded forend doesn't give you as much stability as a squared forend would. I personally like the interchangeability of the AR grips. It would probably be easier for you to mill instead of having to mill the grip, you could just mill out where a person can put any AR15 grip they wanted on it. There are pretty much any grip angle you want out there. Would also save on weight comparing an aluminum grip milled with the chassis to a polymer AR15 grip. I would like the butt stock and cheek piece to be one piece with the chassis though. Some of the others like the MDT that GLC posted you have to buy the chassis for $400 plus a $50 adaptor for a fixed AR stock, then buy the stock which is another $140 for the LUTH-AR MBA plus AR15 tube another $15. You're looking at $600+.

Taking in all the considerations. I thought about threading the front of the chassis right past the action a bit to accept ar fore grips and i wanted a squared end as well so i planned on milling a square grip for myself or others could use round if wanted. The grip I planned on milling out to accept ar grips as well. The butt stock is still undecided....

These days everyone one is coming out with new chassis that use ar furniture and they are cheap. Until you add in the stock and grip and such. I wouldn't shoot to be the cheapest option. If you build something that is good quality and has everything you need in the 600-800 range people will buy them. But you have to be able to make plenty and stand behind your work. Personally I think it should be using ai or aw mags. They are the standard for a reason.

Also make a magwell to protect the mag. So when you are shooting off a barricade or branch or anything you can push into it and not jam up the mag.

Lots of good ideas. I'm with Walter on the A.I. mags and a good mag well protruding from the bottom of the stock. The A.I. mags are available and tough as nails! I've been using the same three mags for five years and have never taken them apart. Just forward of the mag well is where lots of rifles balance and lots of shooters push their rifles forward and bump the mag well onto a support. So it had better be robust. 1/4" thick T-6061 (if that's what you're using) should hold up just fine.
Make some kind attachment points in both sides of the forearm for the use of kill lights. A standard swivel stud, or the ability to attach two swivel studs to the forearm. I had all of my composite stocks made with two studs up front. One for the bipod and one for the sling.
