Colt you have then listed in a good order, though I have not been able to decide between Lapua and Nosler for which is the best brass. Both are a notch or two above the rest

I'd add Norma, and rate them as follows: 1. Lapua/Norma (either one) 2. Nosler 3. Hornady/ Rem/Win/Federal
I have read that Federal makes the Nosler brass and holds that brass in a tighter spec range.

I do not know who makes Nosler brass, but I sure get more loads from it than I ever have with Federal. Like how the Nosler brass is prepped and weight sorted. Heard one time it was Norma that makes the Nosler brass but really have no idea, other than who ever makes it does a good job

lapua for my 30-06 and none for my RUM, I like the Remington brass as it has more case volume and the primer pockets seem to hold up longer.

I really like the Lapua brass and have 300 cases for my 243. It is nice to just pull them from the box and reload them. But when shooting matches and suck where you loose a bunch it would get expensive. If you will be shooting where you won't loose any defiantly spend the money in the Lapua.

Lapua is my case of choice. Expensive, but as Walter stated, it's nice to just pull them from the box, Prime, charge, and seat the bullets!

I have read that Federal makes the Nosler brass and holds that brass in a tighter spec range. I have not heard that. If you just look at what types of brass that Nosler makes it lines up with the same rounds as Norma.... just say'n. I mean when Norma came out with 17 Remington brass so does Nosler. Norma makes 221Fireball now so does Nosler. Nosler has 6.5Creedmoor so does Norma. I don't think Federal does any of those. I do know that Federal is my least liked brass that is currently made.

Norma doesn't have the best history with primer pockets for me. Some I would rate Hornady, Winchester and Norma at 3. Remington at 4 as it seems to take a good bit more prep work and put federal in the dumpster.

Lapua is my choice also. Brass take more loadings than Hornady so works out in the long range. Seems to be better annealed from the factory also...slightly less brittle.
