I'm assuming, based on what i read, that the draws would happen today Anyone hear somthing different?
Anyone care to share any prior experience specifically on Turkey hunts within the WMA's and SP's? Not much on the www in regards to success. I put in for a few including the Matador, San angelo, and a few others. Thought it would be a possiblity to check out other parts of the state, but I dont have high hopes... we'll see.

Congrats to your son A.B. Seems like a pretty neat place looking at their FB page.

A.B. my son and I went on that hunt a few years back. Great hunt and lots of turkey. It aint the Sulphur River bottom but is still beautiful country. Not a hard hunt either. Just find a roost, (The folks there will show ya), get hid good and wait for them to fly down. We stayed in Paducah at the Sportsmans lodge or hunters lodge or something like that.
It ain't easy being me.

We will stay with kin in Wellington and drive down for the hunt. Will be the last hunt we ever have in the youth category. Seen lots of neat places across this state. Going to miss it.
