It's got a good trigger that is a plus but personally I would ditch the stock and put it in a manners stock. Get rid of the custom turret and use the factory one. Then spend the rest on ammo shooting it like crazy.

I'm wanting a gun for my personal shooting obviously but also need a guan client with low round counts can get behind and confidently hit 300-400 yard targets that why I opted for the aftermarket turret

Some people shake to much with a minimum of 8 power. A nice McMillan or manners would make it more better

Do you spot and stock or mainly shoot from a stand or rested position?

I would change the gun to a Savage, love their factory trigger, and change the stock to a McMillan A5, scope would be a Nightforce 5-25. As far as the rail goes, which ever one you like, I like EGW. And if you want a client to shoot it, at least put a brake and good recoil pad on it. That's a lot of thump

For that kind of money get a night force or go to a vx6 3-18 and save a lot of money Get a CDs model and get the marks or knob into more of what you want
Save some money and get a timney
Save some money and get seekins rings
Add more to your stock price, look at McMillan sales section and see if you can find a deal
Save money with a different brake?

Thats a lot of zoom power for 300-400 yds. A 4-16x would be plenty. Save some money, get better glass without so much optical zoom. Ive never spent $2000 plus on glass but in my experience, scopes in the price range you mentioned, anything after 18x or start to get a little fuzzy and I soon realized im overscoped anyways. Unless youre shooting 1k+, theres no need for so much zoom. Even then a case could be made for less scope.
Id stick with the jewell, and add a better stock and have it skim bedded.
Just my two cents after building a couple similar to what youve described.

Change stock and I would want to be able to shoot with the scope set at 6X, which is normally what I shoot at since when I go up past 10X I notice my unsteadiness. Sounds like a nice set up.

Scope doesn't match rifle. At all. Just too much everything for the job (power, size, weight). Curious also about caliber selection for stated fairly long range use also. Certainly the .338 will do it fine. Just not what I normally think of as a stand gun. Are your clients used to shooting a .338? Seems most would be more comfortable with something a little lighter.

I've got a Mark 4 ER/T on my AR10 7mm-08, 4.5 X14 with M1, about to list it to buy another Bushnell Elite Tactical 3.5x21x50 FFP Mildot like on my Rem 700 308. The Bushnell is also Mil/Mil not Mil/MOA like the ER/T with M1
I agree with Fireman, for the price of the Mark 4s you can find better scopes or atleast same quality but a little cheaper.
HHUUMMMM, what to write, what to write, I got nothing.

Upon re-reading I'm thinking you meant to say high end? I meant to say low end. Im my opinion the low end should be between 2X-6X. And 6X needs a 50 mm objective (at least) for wider field of view. 8X on the low end reminds me of searching for a target in cayon country outside 1000 yards. I have two scopes with 6X on the low end and 50 mm objectives. Both eyes open searching for a target is a learned skill for many people. My most used scope has 5X (50mm) on the low end and it works fine because I'm used to it. 3.5X-21, as Furb mentioned would be the best of both worlds. But that would require me to upgrade, and I'm putting if off. I know well how handy it would be. As time passes we are getting more multiplication. Currently all of mine are times four. 6-24, 6-24, and 5-20
