so today was day 38 after filing form 1. saw the email and got all excited. opened it up and was disapproved. logged in and found it was for incorrect model number. I thought I had done all of my research and filled everything out. Have to refile, pay the stamp fee again and wait another 30-40 days. so my question is how should I or how would of you filled this out? Its a PSA lower stamped as follows
PA-15 MULTI
I filled out the form 1 as: PA15MULTI
The inspector or whatever that disapproved it stated to refile the form 1 with the model number as" PA15. So for you guys that have done this, fill out exactly as he stated? I don't want to have it disapproved again. Wish you could somehow make your corrections and do it online for approval without having to refile. Heck I don't mind paying the stamp fees, even though I shouldn't have too, but they need to have some type if background system like when you purchase from a ffl. going to be along 6 weeks again. any advice greatly appreciated.

Don't put "Multi" anywhere on the application. Do like the examiner said and just put "PA15" on it. Resubmittal is supposed to be quicker.

so how do I resubmit?? new form 1 or can you update the original form, and submit it?? Thanks in advance. Doc I had a similar issue with one of my SBR's. They sent me the form back and I marked through the incorrect info with a single line, put the correct info, initialed the correction with the date and mailed it back. Took an extra month or so but then it got approved. I did not pay $200 a second time. If it is Efiled the procedures may be different, mine was a paper form. Your model number is PA-15, the caliber is "Multi", but you should put 5.56/.223 in the caliber box, not the word "Multi". Hope that helps...good luck!

I've never had to resubmit but I've seen people post that they did it and it took a couple of weeks to get approved by paper filing.

I made a small error on my original submission a few years ago, don't remember the exact error but they send me a letter with the mistake and a copy of my form with it circled and told me how i should fix it fill out an entirely new form and mail it back (without another fee)
Did that and got my approved stamp in a few weeks.

Multi is the caliber. The model is PA15.
If it were a complete rifle it would probably say PA15 .223/5.56
The caliber should never be included in the model.

E-forms can not be corrected; you will have to resubmit the form with the correct model (PA15). The "Multi" on the receiver is a caliber designation, not part of your model number. When submitting your form use the caliber you plan to shoot. Do not use a "." before caliber or put the length designation of a nato round.
Example .223 caliber should be listed as 223 5.56x45 should be listed as 5.56

Do you have to pay the $200 again? Seems like if you are disapproved and have to resubmit, you shouldn't be charged again.

You don't have to re-pay the stamp fee FYI.
