Anyone have a recommendation for a spotting scope that's less than $200 and not compete garbage?

Is this for range use or for hunting?

Range use max 300 yards but that will be rare so most usage will be 100 yards

I have my old Barska w/ ED glass for sale. I upgraded to the Razor that I used at Jason's on Saturday is the only reason for selling it. I know Barska gets a bad rap but it works well at the price point and especially in the range you are looking for.

I'll do you one better....take it, try it out and if you like it pay me if not bring it back and tell me you don't want it.

If you haven't bought yet, try the Konus spotters. They make an 80mm for about $200 and a 100mm for about $330. I have the 100mm and it's quite good all things considered; it's also very large, so range use only. I've heard good things about the 80mm, although I've never looked through one.

At one point I bought several Konus rifle scopes. The regular grade pistol scope had glass so bad it was like looking through the bottom of a Coke bottle. The M30 scopes are ok for the money, but also very heavy. I'm not a rabid Konus fan, but my 100mm spotter is pretty good for the price.
