For the first time we are offering muzzle loader mule deer hunts this year. These are fully guided hunts with meals and lodging for $4000.00. We hunt 15,000 acres of private land in the Chama area of northern NM. Hunt will be 5 days the last week of September. Modern inline scoped muzzleloaders are legal. Hunters must apply for the draw using a landowner authorization. Draw deadline is March 18th. We expect to harvest bucks in the 150-200 inch class. Since you are in the northern part of new mexico do you consider your mulies desert or rocky mountain, where is the dividing line?

We consider the mule deer here to be rocky mountain mule deer. Not quite sure where the dividing line would be.

Success rate during previous rifle seasons?

Goodoboy success rates on past rifle hunts has been 100%. I don't expect that streak to last forever but our mule deer hunting is very limited as far as number of tags issued by the state. We only hunt 2 to 4 tags a year but success has been great.
