Getting ready to move from Alaska to Houston and I've been scouring craigslist. Issue is I haven't found what I'm looking for.
So, maybe I'm looking for the impossible but before I give up, I just wanted to see what you guys think.
Looking for: Year round lease Fishing Deer Turkey Duck Hogs Low Fence A group of management minded individuals (taking mature animals or culls) No issues with a drink around the campfire (I'm not talking getting drunk firing firearms and falling in the fire but just having few beers enjoying the company of good people)
I don't have any kids and my wife is a city slicker, that would rather spend time at the mall. So, it would just be myself.
Price? We both work for oil & gas companies with no kids so, I can afford a reasonable amount.
Is this possible to find? Or should I just go west and find a good deer lease and hunt ducks on public?
Thanks!

If you find that lease, let me know ASAP!!! Haha! Yeah, I assumed I was looking for a "unicorn". But if I hear of anything looking for multiple guns I'll give ya a PM.

You should be able to find that pretty easy, if your willing to pay for it. There are hogs all over the state. The only one that could be an issue is the fishing. Some landowners will keep that for family, some will let you use it. The last place I was on in Lampasas County had all those items. I was on it for 15 years. 2,000 acres for $1,500. Then the place sold and the owners high fenced it and kept it to themselves. Haven't been able to find a lease since then. Three years and still looking!

You should be able to find a place. Take your time and make sure you get in with the right group would be my advice. Lots of groups will take your money.

Not sure I could hold out that long! Sounds like you had a great setup for awhile though. You should be able to find a place. Yeah, I've been reading on here for awhile now and sounds like some folks have really been done wrong. Due diligence is tiring but a necessity to give you a better chance. Try this site. Leasehunter .com Thanks! The hunt is still on then!

Ha yeah three years is a long time. Luckily I know some people that own some land. So I've been able to hunt a little. I really do miss being on a lease though. Just being able to put a plan into place and then execute it is the best part. Hopefully I can come across something for next season!

Point some of those leases out, $2500 is not a problem.

I think finding a lease with all those would be difficult but not impossible. The fishing and ducks may be the most limiting factors, but you could always do those elsewhere. There's lots of public places to fish and in Houston you'll be right by the coast for saltwater fishing. And you could duck hunt on public land. If your flexible about the fishing and duck hunting, I think you could find multiple leases with everything else you want.
