Gunwerks has designed a new action for their rifles and it looks promising. I have an opportunity to shoot a rifle built on this action in a couple of months and am interested to see the differences in it and the blue printed Remington actions and Stiller actions I own.

Stiller has supplied gunwerks with actions for years now. I wonder who is making this one.

Looks well thought out. Wonder if you will be able to buy just the action from them. Im guessing they will only Offer it in their overpriced package rifles.

They are supposed to be making their own now. They sold their stock making company/ equipment a while back and are getting flat tops from Mcmillan then took the money and got the machines to do their own action. corse like everyone else the broaching and heat treating and bolts are done out of house

Yea that would sound about right. How many manufactures has Gunwerks gone through now? Seems like every time I have looked at them it is a different action. Perhaps they have settled on one now.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Wonder what the price is going to be. There are a lot of great actions out there now. Pretty competitive spot to be. I am really liking the new GAP Temptest.

The GA actions are Private labeled defiance actions if I'm not mistaken

I hunt and shoot with one of Gunwerks shooting instructors and sales reps. From what he has told me about the new action is that they are the designer and manufacturer and it will only be available on one of their rifles. I'm not sure how it will effect the price of the guns but Gunwerks has never been known as cheap. The rifle he is having built for himself is north of $10k with the accessories and scope.

It's surprises me that people buy their rifles. I took a look at them and just don't see the value. I got a quote on a LR1000 with the G7 NF, and nearly fell out. Ended up being able to get one built, not cutting any corners and came out WAY ahead.
They do make a sweet rangefinder

The GA actions are Private labeled defiance actions if I'm not mistaken From what I understand the two Templar actions are. But the new Temptest is not as clear idk if defiance is making it or not but I do know George has spaced it and it is his design. Pretty sweet two. Action made to run aw mags and built for comp shooting. Walter
